Committee Reports

Global Membership Team (GMT), Global Leadership Team (GLT) and Global Service Team (GST) - Lion Steve Pogue reported on all three. 10 clubs had not yet reported their officers for this year. Kindness Matters nominations have been sent out to clubs and are due back by 8-15-21. We welcomed three former Lioness Clubs as new Lions Clubs in 2020-21. District had positive membership growth for 2020-21. Zone chair training was held on 7-21-21 and went well. Zone meetings are being planned. Three regional meetings are planned for this year.

Pathway to Leadership training will be in Stevens Point on Oct. 15 to 17, 2021. Open to everyone. Please contact DG Bill if interested in attending.

Guiding Lions - CS Ron Wright reported that we have 19 Certified Guiding Lions in our district. Goal is to certify 10 more this year. Guiding Lion has been assigned to each zone chair.

Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin - Lion Erica Singley reported on LEBW and report is attached (see below).

Restoring Hope Transplant House - PDG Bob Faliveno reports RHTH is going well and is full. They are steadily moving forward on the expansion plans and Cindy has reached her goal of $1,000,000 pledged. On advise of builder and bank they are waiting for the cost of materials to hopefully go down as the project would cost approximately $3,000,000 at todays prices. Hoping that it will come down into the $2,300,000 range. There was a question in regards to succession planning at RHTH. Cindy and the BOD are aware and continue to work on a plan for the future. PID Peter Cerneglia asked that clubs put money in their budgets to sponsor guests at RHTH.

Motion was made by PDG Eric Holthaus, seconded by PID Phil Ingwell to continue the $75,000 grant that we have. Motion carried.

Wisconsin Lions Foundation - Lion Laurie Holthaus reported that camp is in progress. That they are not doing club tours at this time. She would be available to attend zone meetings. Encouraged members to check out the WI Lions Camp Facebook page. New videos will be coming out soon. Thanks Lion Julie Baglama for her service to WLF.

Vision Screening - Lion Milo Parker presented a proposal that will save money on the maintenance and repair of cameras. Motion made by PID Peter Cerniglia, seconded by Lion Julie Baglama to approve the proposal. Motion carried.

LCIF - Lion Dan Marshall reported on the progress made towards donations. 58% of clubs have participated but only 3% of club members. $123,000 plus has been donated but we are still short of our goal. Asked that he be invited to zone meetings to make a presentation.

Extension - PDG Randy Harrison reports he has identified 3 potential new towns for clubs. Lodi, Clinton and Belleville. Information is being gathered and guiding Lions have been assigned.

USA/CANADA Forum - IPDG Tammy Rockenbach invited everyone to the forum which is September 9th to the 11th in Des Moines Iowa.
