CABINET MEETING MINUTES

Secretary Report - Lion Andy Grosvold-- Minutes were emailed out on August 9th. Motion- Sobczak. Second Crowson. Carried.

Treasurer Report - Lion Bill Severson-- $40K- Admin. $20K-Savings. $55K- Activities, Motion- Meier. Second- Dryer. Carried.

District Website/Convention Registrations - DG Jeff Winkler--Discussion on new website setup that will be used for district convention registration and possible for state convention registration.

Region Meetings - GAT Coordinator--Meetings to beheld on Ocotber 23,25, and 26.

Global Leadership Team - Lion Tony Sobczak--Region Meeting Discussion.

Global Membership Team - Lion Tim Meier--District is +24 with new membership. Clubs need to report membership in LCI also any service project and activities in MyLion. There are some clubs that are 90+ days overdue with dues.

Global Service Team - Composting Project - Lion Steve Pogue--66% (26/58) clubs are reporting service. Leo Clubs haven't reported. Update on Trex plastics recycling; now 1,000# per year to receive a bench. Update on composting program; Nov. 15th should be on website.

Leo Club-- Lion Brenda Steele- Reaching out to clubs/advisors. Still have 4 clubs to reach out to. Clubs need to enter advisor in LCI.

Global Membership Approach - PCC Tammy Rockenbach & PCC Jodi Burmester-- Mission 1.5 discussion. Childhood Cancer Statewide Initiative - Lion Jule Baglama-- D1 has donated $615 so far. Oct. 23rd mtg. Badger Support Network in Madison.

Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin - Global Vision Fund- Board President Lion Erica Singley--Discussion on Global Vision Setup; Guatemala equipment setup; raising funds through LCI matching grant; LEBW has donated $18K of the $28K needed.

Wisconsin Lions Newsletter - Articles Due December 1, 2023- DG Jeff Winkler-- Submit your photos and stories of your projects and service to your communities.

USA/Canada Forum 2023 - Reno, NV - PCC Tammy Rockenbach--2VDG Jim Klubertanz spoke of his experience attending the forum. 2024 forum will be held September 5-7 in Louisville, KY

District and State Conventions - 1VDG Ron Wright-- Next meeting 10/19. D1 convention is 3/8-3/9. MSN Marriott West. John Stofflet and Joanne Odgen ID Canda are guest speakers. Committee is deep in the planning process. Trivia night onn Saturday.

MD27 convention theme is 'Changing the world, one Lion at a time. May 16-18. Extensive discussion on potentional website platform build to be used for registration of for D1 and MD27 convention registration. $3,000 builid fee ($1500 for D1/$1500 for MD27) with annual maintenance cost of $150/$300. Motion-Wright to approve up to $3000 to build website. Second- Burmester. Carried.

Youth Exchange Reports - Lion Crystal Riniker-- No report given. 31 participants came to USA in 2022.

Wisconsin Lions Foundation - PDG John Evelkrog-- Jim Fletcher gave update. Deer hide collection. Napkins with QR code for hide collection available. Signs for drop off available.

Lions Clubs International Foundation - PDG Conrad Dreyer-- Birch-Sturm update. $7.8 million collected to date.

Vision Committee Reports- Lion Milo Parker & PDG Bob Faliveno-- Parker reported normal screening year on deck. Parker motioned to reimbure Portage Lions Club up to $500 to repair their camera. Faliveno seconded. Motion carried. Faliveno reported on the Latino health fair. 52 screened, 18 referred.

Stuff the Bus - Lion Bruce Voight-- 20 clubs participated this fall with over $46K in supplies donated.

Meeting adjourned at 5:40 p.m. Motion- Sobczak. Second- Meier. Carried.
