WISCONSIN LIONS MISSIONS REPORT

At this time four eye glass missions are set for 2017. The first will be in Leon, Nicaragua from February 13 thru 17 with 32 Lions participating. The second will be the following week in SanSalvador, El Salvadore. The location will be on a secure military base. 25 Lions will participate. The glasses are at the mission site so no problems like last year. There will be a small mission late March to Lozandier (Loz en jay), Haiti. Four Lions will do the glasses distribution as part of a larger medical mission. The 4th mission is in conjunction with Mountaintop Ministries near Port-au-prince, Haiti. Mission date is May 22nd thru May 29th. About 10 Lions will be involved.

40 school desks, many wheel chairs, walkers, crutches and other medical aids from the District are in the process of being shipped to Mexico and Nicaragua. The Missions trailer will be going to McAllen, TX next week. All items to Nicaragua are shipped by the Wisconsin-Nicaragua Partnership in Stevens Point.

Anyone wishing to get involved in these very rewarding activities let me know. We are always looking for new volunteers. There are 9 first timers this year.

Respectfully submitted:
Erling Isely, District Chair
