October Cabinet Meeting
IT Report

District Governor Dick has proposed that the District publish club newsletters on our web site. This is a marvelous idea, and I'd like to get started on that as soon as possible. Ideally, club newsletters should be published on club web sites. If that's the case for your club, please send me the link for your newsletter. I know that some clubs choose to email the newsletters to their members. In that case, please add me to your mailing list, and I will post your newsletter to the District site. If your club is still stuck in the 19th Century and you send out your newsletter by USPS (or pony express), please send it to me in an electronic format.

As you know, the District has a number of email mailing lists. We have one for Cabinet members, one for club Presidents, one for club Secretaries, one for Zone Chairs, and one for Lioness clubs. These mail lists not only allow a vehicle for sending information from the District to the clubs, but they allow sending information from clubs to other clubs. It's a great way to advertise your club activities. We should all be participating in activities of other clubs.

They key for success for these mailing lists is the correct address. If your club President or Secretary is not receiving these emails, please send me their address. The lists are updated each year from information received from LCI.

Another key factor for these lists is for you to pay close attention to how you reply to these messages. If you want your reply to go only to the original poster, use "Reply". If you think your response is of interest to the entire list, use "Reply All".

The addresses for these lists are:

cabinet @ lions27d1.org
lioness @ lions27d1.org
presidents @ lions27d1.org
secretaries @ lions27d1.org
zonechairs @ lions27d1.org
