Centennial Celebration Committee Update Report

LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED
The MD27 Centennial Committee met face to face via WebEx on August 17th and will be meeting face to face immediately following this meeting to continue planning Centennial activities.
Club Recognition - to supplement the patches/pins from LCI
a. Service Awards Recipient Certificates - The Committee hopes you are using the Certificates to recognize award winning clubs and help promote participating in the Centennial Service Challenge.
b. We hope the District Centennial Challenge overview flyer is helping you to promote participation.
Grant - The Grant application was submitted and should have been acted upon at the Budapest LCI Board Meeting earlier this week.
District Conventions
a. Display - The Display is being handed off to C1 today. A reminder that each of you should be picking up the Centennial display, along with the flags & other items. at the Convention prior to your own.
b. Seminar - The Committee is requesting time on your Convention schedule to promote Centennial Celebration participation and get the membership excited about Centennial activities. Please advise MD27 Centennial Coordinators Harris and Burmester, along with your District Centennial Coordinator of the amount of time we will have to promote the Centennial at yourConvention.
c. Special 'Diamond Level' Award Recipient buttons - for distribution to members of Diamond Level Clubs by the Centennial Coordinator at the Convention are ready for distribution. B1, B2 and C1 DGs will be receiving pins for their Conventions yet today. Please give them to your District CentenniaI Coordinator so-he/she can make sure they are distributed.
d. Convention Ad - The Committee is requesting a full page ad in each District Convention program to promote participation in the Centennial Service Challenge and Membership Awards.
