The District 27-D1 Business Meeting was called to order by District Governor Dick Schwedrsky at 3:45PM.
Cabinet Treasurer Bill Severson presented the Financial Report.
State of the State Report by Council Chair Evett Hartvig.

Newspaper - Redesign to 8 ½ X 11 format; effective 7/1/16-10 issues, all electronic & 4 mailed (July/Aug, October, February and May)
ID Candidate Connie LeClair-Meyer asks for the Lions of 27D1 to come to the 2016 State Convention and support her in her bid for International Director.
LEBW President PDG Jerry Wille thanks D1 for all they have done for LEBW. 1600 corneas placed this year. 375 transport trips per month.
WLF Director John Dickson - Camp Tours on Wednesdays starting April 1st, Vision Screening grant and Vision Focus Group started, 60th Camp Anniversary Celebration on Aug 21, 2016, Motorcycle ride on Sept 10, 2016.
Lions Pride Executive Director Lion Geri Schlender thanked District Clubs for their support, for adding Ray Hempel Fellowships to their awards and for supporting the annual Lions Pride Shoot.
NOMINATIONS:
Lion John Dickson was nominated for a second 3-year term as Wisconsin Lions Foundation Director by Lion Missy Dickson. Second by PDG Walt Althaus. PID Pete Cerniglia moved nominations for WLF Director be closed, 2nd by Lion Angie Taylor and carried.
Lion John Elvekrog was nominated for 2nd Vice District Governor by Lion Al Johnson, Second by PDG Arlen Milestone. PDG Walt Althaus made the motion to close the nominations for 2nd VDG, 2nd by PDG Neil Winchell and carried.
Lion Jodi Burmester was nominated for 1st Vice District Governor by Lion Tara Vraniak. Second by Lion Dale Burmester. Motion to close nominations for 1st VDG by Lion Angie Taylor, second by Lion Krisann Holthaus and carried.
Lion Eric Holthaus was nominated by Lion Will Fedders for District Governor. Second by Lion Krisann Holthaus. PID Pete Cerniglia moved that nominations for DG be closed, second by Lion Mike Keller and carried.
The Dodgeville Lions Club and DeForest/Token Creek Lions Clubs were placed in nomination to host District Bowling 2017. Nomination were closed.
Winners of the Lions silent auction were announced.
Meeting adjourned by acclamation at 4:35PM.
