RECAP 2014-2015

EXTENSION-we added one new club, Orfordville was chartered in April, working on Edgewood campus, and a champions club. We have ceased our efforts in Black Earth.

MEMBERSHIP-we started 2014 with 2222 members and the goal was to increase membership by 2 ½% or about 56 new members. We ended the year with 2212 members. Twenty five clubs had positive membership and 6 clubs remained stable. Twenty five clubs had a decline in membership.

CEP-we completed CEP in two clubs, with 2 clubs still in the process. We have one club just starting.

RETENTION-our goal was to reduce drops to 225. We had 245 drops for the year.

ORIENTATION-was offered at the District Convention and at the Officer's Trainings.

WOMEN AND FAMILY-we had 496 women Lions to start the year and the goal was to increase the female membership by 5% or 23 members. We ended the year with 520 women Lions. Increase of 24.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION-create the Lion of the Year and Club of the Year, awarded at the district convention.

GOALS FOR 2015-2016

EXTENTION-add one new club. Both our Champions club and Edgewood should be chartered.

MEMBERSHIP-increase membership by 2 ½%.

CEP-we have one club starting and two still in the process. We need a chair.

GROWTH-developing a team to rebuild the UW-Platteville campus club.

RETENTION-the goal is to reduce drops to 165. We will be emphasizing retention this year with mentoring and sponsorship tools.

ORIENTATION-we will be conducting orientation on a regional basis. We need to get new members orientated.

WOMEN AND FAMILY-increase membership by 5%.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION-continue with Lion of the Year and Club of the Year with more recognition for all nominees.

TOOLS BEING OFFERED

GROWTH WORKSHOP-September 26 we will be offering a hands on Growth Workshop. This will be a four hour workshop and includes lunch. See attached flyer (PDF).

REGIONAL MEETINGS-the October zone meetings will be regional meetings conducted by the VDG and the zone chairs. This will allow exchanging of ideas.

ORIENTATION-Lion Jim Fletcher is reworking the Orientation and he can help your club do an orientation.
