District Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order by PDG John Jenson at 9am.
Pledge of Allegiance and song, America, was led of DGE Tony Sobczak.
Invocation from DG Jim Klubertanz.
Secretary's Report presented by District Cabinet Secretary Bruce Voight. Approved.
Treasurer's Report given by District Cabinet Treasurer Bill Severson. Approved.
PID Phil Ingwell reported on the By-Laws and Resolutions that will be on the MD27 Convention ballot. The proposed resolution to adopt the International Association of Lions Standard Multiple District Constitution and By-Laws has been approved and recommended by the Resolution Committee and Council of Governors. Recommend a 'Yes" vote.
DG Jim Klubertanz thanked everyone for a great year. The District is close to meeting its goals. District Membership is up 51 Lions at the end of April. (MD27 is up 71). Service reporting has improved - D1 is at 87%. D1's GAT Team leads the way - Lions are stepping up to be Zone Chairs and future DG's.
PDG Jenson welcomed DG Klubertanz to the PDG Group.
DG Klubertanz introduced DGE Tony Sobczak. DGE Tony's focus will center on Leader Dog, Lions Eye Bank and Lions Camp. Tony's Team include FVDVE Adam Crowson and SVDGE Tim Meier. His GAT Team is made up of Andy Grosvold, Brenda Steele and PDG Al Johnson. PDG Ron Write will be on the Lions Eye Bank Board and PDG Bill Clausius will begin his term as D1 WLF Director.

• Sun Prairie is hosting State Bowling at Prairie Lanes starting February 27, 2027
• Sun Prairie has their Golf Outing on July 16 at Prairie Pines, Sun Prairie
• Monroe has their Golf Outing last Monday of July
• McFarland's Food Truck Frenzy starts Wednesday, May 20 and will continue the 3 rd Wednesday through September
• McFarland 64 th Annual Chicken BBQ will be May 25 at McFarland High School
• McFarland Golf Outing is June 25 at Foxboro Golf Club in Oregon
• Madison West and Madison Central will merge by end of June
• Lions Workshops will be June 8, 10, 11, & 12. June 8 in Deforest, June 10 in Albany, June 11 in Platteville, and June 13 in Monona.
• Eyeglass Reading Center in Mazomanie is scheduled for a July 1 opening
Moment of Silence in memory of Lion Doug Bar, Stoughton, who passed away earlier this week.
2027 District Convention will be back at Ho Chunk. Andrea Yaeger, Lions Cam Director will be the speaker at the opening session. PCC BJ Blanik will be the featured speaker.
The Madison Northside Club will be a branch of the Waunakee Lions Club and will be inducting members in June.
