District Cabinet Meeting - Saturday, August 2, 2020
IPDG Report

My year has come to a close and I welcome Tammy as Rockenbach as our new District Governor. Tammy will do a great job for our district. She will be followed by Bill Clausius and Al Johnson. Our district is in good hands going forward. Please join me in congratulating the new DG Team.

I would like to say thank you to all Lions. I have been welcomed into all clubs and you have shown me all the good you are doing. Your dedication continues to inspire me. We have all been faced with difficult times In dealing with Covid but I have seen clubs adapt, finding alternative ways to meet and new club service activities in your communities. I say thank you for being Lions. While the challenges continue we are poised to succeed now and into the future.

Membership: our membership has taken a hit. There is a positive in that we added 140 new members. Which is over 2 members per club on average. This is great. However we did lose 194 members for a new loss of 54 members. This is a trend we must change. We need to work on exciting passion in our members to impact our retention. This will be a major focus now and into the future.

Service: with the Covid pandemic we continued to serve. We served 292,654 people in 2019-2020 in 2184 service activities. This is excellent since we have had shut down and limited abilities to meet since March of this year. Many of our service and fundraising activities have been put on hold.

Grant: we are currently working with LCIF on a grant to provide $10,000 for the purchase of PPE for front line workers at UW American Family Children's Hospital.

Thank you for all your support in my year as DG. Roar On
