LIONS LEADERSHIP FORUMReport

OMAHA, NEBRASKA 2016

The Lions Leadership Forum was September 15-17 in Omaha, NE. The forum offered over 80 sessions to help you build your Lions club and District, as well as personal accomplishment. Almost 2000 Lions attended from all over the US and Canada.

Thursday evening featured Illusionist Billy Riggs. Not only did he entertain with magic, but had a motivating speech. Friday lunch was with Jay Blake. He is a mechanic that had a tire blow up in his face. He barely survived, but is blind, and has no sense of smell or taste. After the accident he took his career to the next level. He always wanted to work on race cars. So with his brother they bought a car and Jay is the chief mechanic. Jay now uses his sense of hearing and feel to accomplish the job. Saturday, IP Corlew gave an inspiring talk. We have New Mountains to Climb. To end the event we heard from Retired Colonel Bill Hansen. All of our keynote speakers were Lions and are proud of being a Lion.

PORTLAND, OREGON 2017

September 21-23, 2017 finds the forum in Portland, Oregon. Information will be forthcoming about speakers and seminars. If you want to register or just more information, see me and I will help you. VDG Jodi Burmester is on the planning committee. I am sure that we will have another great forum.

Respectfully submitted,
Tammy Rockenbach
